A graduate of the Ivey Business School, Louise earned her master’s degree at Harvard University and has lived, studied, and worked in Hong Kong, Switzerland, New York, and Boston.
Before writing full-time, she spent six years as a global marketing manager at Elizabeth Arden in Geneva and New York. But a long-held love of storytelling eventually drew her away from the corporate world and back to the written word. In 2016, she took a left turn in her career to follow her dream of becoming a writer.
She is the creator and host of the Word Weaver Podcast and the founder of Bookshop Bucket List, a literary travel platform celebrating independent bookshops and the magic of reading.
Louise is a curious creature with an old soul who sends snail mail, collects vintage typewriters, drinks too much coffee, and delights in all things analog. Writing has always been her constant in an inconstant world, and ultimately, it became a calling she couldn’t ignore.
Her debut, BEHIND THE RED DOOR, introduced readers to her vivid storytelling, meticulous historical research, and deep psychological insight. Her second novel, SPINSTERS, about the Mad Women of PR in the golden era of 1960s-1980s New York, will be published in June 2027 by Kensington and Penguin Random House Canada.
She lives in Toronto where she is at work on her next books.
