#4/52 Bookstore Bucket List: Sonic Boom

About

Sonic Boom is Canada’s largest independent record store, but they also have a great bookshop section that I wanted to check out. As expected, the place was mostly filled with record albums and CDs (my old soul loved it), but their book corner was awesome—a lot of musician biographies, great art coffee table books and some new fiction releases. There’s a hip vintage clothing store on the lower level as well! Worth a visit (grab some coffee from Dark Horse next door), but go in knowing it’s all about the vinyl.

Location

  • 215 Spadina Ave, Toronto in the Roberston Building
