How I Project Plan to Accomplish Goals and Avoid Overwhelm
*DREAM BIG, BUT START SMALL*⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In 2020, I'm trying to just GO FOR everything I want to do. The key, for me, is being strategic when it comes to project planning, time management, life organization etc. I tend to overload my plate and end up overwhelmed and burnt-out trying to accomplish things if I don't plan properly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If there's something (or multiple things) you want to accomplish this year, this is how I get my shit together so I don't fall victim to the stress swamp:
Write out all of your big picture "projects" (goals) for the YEAR in categories (Career, Financial, Personal, Wellness, etc.) and then put them into a 2020 BINDER — I also tape them to my wall so I see the final destination of where I’m going. If you get bogged down in the day-to-day (which we all do) seeing the “end vision” helps re-focus and re-prioritize
List QUARTERLY (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) deadlines for each of those goals (I put them into quarterly tabs in my binder and also tape them to my wall so I see them every day)
Break down and list every tiny task you can think of for each goal (make them as bite-size as possible - even if one is just 'order binder from amazon'), and then schedule those small steps MONTHLY and WEEKLY in your agenda + calendar. I always start off by trying to do everything in January while I’m motivated, but that always leads to overwhelm/burn-out, so spreading out the small tasks makes it feel way more manageable.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Example: The #BookstoreBucketListTO was a personal goal I've wanted to do for a long time, but I kept putting it off because the thought of being accountable for a weekly bookstore blog/video seemed daunting.
Putting pen to paper and seeing the big picture (yearly), then scheduling it down quarterly/monthly/weekly helps calm me and see things through.
This is how I plan to finish BOOK #2 in 2020 as well.
It's not new advice, but hoping this serves as a helpful reminder and little push of motivation to go for everything you want!
